This Project was for a major retailer in the Uk it is a system that is designed to negate the need for multiple lengths of bars. Part of the brief was to have extensive use of aluminium but the design could easily be adapted to a variety of materials.
The side view show the different components. the two extrusions lock into each other and accommodate a runner that fits the square headed bolts into.
The central sleeve was used to aid the sliding of the two halves
This plate was designed in steel and bolted onto the aluminium extrusion
